We decided to go to the Ostreria because of its excellent rating, and it was a great choice. A small restaurant where every dish reflects professionalism and a love for what they do, and where quality local products, including regional wines, are a priority. In short, one of those special places where customers feel special too.

My boyfriend and I have been here twice since our stay in Alvor. These are probably the best oysters I’ve had! Super fresh and tasty! We also had the shrimp cakes (would definitely recommend those), breaded shrimp, tuna tartare and the bread with sardines. Lovely staff! She was so nice! If we had discovered this gem earlier, we would’ve gone everyday!

Absolutely fantastic. The oysters are from the farm a few kilometers down the road. The alvor delta produces the most amazing shellfish and this restaurant cooks everything absolutely perfectly. The oysters have that umami quality that is almost always lacking elsewhere.

Definitely have the oysters and be happily surprised that their passion fruit sauce also goes fanatically with the oysters.

But don't stare yourself blind at the oysters. The canja is one of the best in the Algarve and I'm personally a huge fan of the cockle polenta. Few places manage to cook seafood this well.

They were also very nice about us arriving with a 5 month old.

Edit: came back 2 weeks later and it's still equally good. The canja was maybe even better...
