Been going to Salema for 20+ years since the kids were small. Yeah a lot has changed & the town has maybe lost a little of the small rustic charm it once had, but still a wonderful beach that brings back fond memories.

Beautiful beach, but does get very crowded. We went and left early to make the most of the open space. Enjoyed seeing the dinosaur foot prints on the west side too.

Lovely beach, quiet, mainly for families. Nice temp in middle of August thanks to the wind....

Great beach with an amazing sunset and dinosaurs foot prints on the west side of the beach. The beach is very nice with the rocks and the water is transparent. The dinosaurs foot prints are big and they are from an ornithopod, a herbivore dinosaur that lived on earth some 150 million years ago. You can find around 7 foot prints of this dinosaur. There are supposedly also some more dinosaurs foot prints on the east side of the beach but we were unable to find them.

This beach is a typical beach - a long stretch of sand and the ocean crashing onto the sand. There are rocks on either side. The beach was pretty wide, the landscape gorgeous. You cam walk along past the rocks on the right, just either go when the tide is totally out, or be dressed suitably, and know how to swim, for you will have to climb over/around all the rocks and will be getting wet. We didn't go all the way down because the tide was coming in too fast for us to.
