Restaurante A Grelha do Ti-Manel

I went here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.

The amêijoas à Bulhão Pato came first, with garlic bread made from Portuguese bread. Crisp outside, soft inside, heavily garlicked. It soaked up the sauce and held together until the plate was clean.

The lulinhas were written outside on the chalkboard as the special of the day and ended up being the best thing I ordered. The squid did most of the work. Smoke in the meat, char at the edges, a bit of burn on the tentacle tips. Garlic and butter came after, tying it together. Intense and sharp with squid character.

The dourada grelhada was served whole. The skin had blistering and colour, but the flesh stayed very juicy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was steamed before the grill, then finished over the fire.

Dessert was chocolate mousse. Light in texture, slightly sweeter than most, still familiar.

Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. If you’re looking for traditional Portuguese seafood done properly, you’ll eat well here.

Almond Tart was fabulous end to our meal.

A Geröha de Tamanel turned out to be one of those unexpected gems in Portugal. We sat down not knowing what to expect, and ended up with some of the best mussels I’ve ever had – fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The steak was just as impressive, perfectly cooked and really satisfying.
The highlight though was something we’ll never forget: hidden inside one of the mussels, we actually found a tiny pearl – like a little gift straight from the sea. It felt almost magical and made the whole dinner even more special.
It’s a simple, cozy place with great food that leaves you with a story to tell. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

Surely one of the best restaurants in Albufeira and Algarve! Fresh fish, so tasty!!! The service is excellent!!

Cannot fault a thing!

The food was absolutely incredible. We did the all you can eat fish, and it was the best choice ever. I especially loved the squid and the salmon 🐠 Everything was fresh and delicious. And the service took special care to ensure my dietary requirements. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
