I ate here for dinner with my family, and it was the best meal of the holiday. Such a great varied menu, super friendly, helpful and passionate staff, and the FOOD! 10/10! Peri peri prawns were a highlight! Can’t wait to come back

Jacaranda was a highlight of my holiday.
The food was consistently delicious—every dish I tried was a winner (and I returned there many times)
The staff were upbeat and welcoming, which made each visit even better.
Definitely a spot worth returning to.
Prices are pretty ok if you go for the early bird menu.

Every dish is prepared with taste and presented aesthetically. We've returned here many times, and each time everything was delicious. The staff was engaging and smiling. It was also a pleasure to watch the chefs, as it was clear they enjoy their work and are experts in their craft. This place made our vacation even more enjoyable.

Especially on holiday, I rarely take the time to write a review. Lounging, eating, and pretending emails do not exist usually win. A restaurant really has to earn it, and Jacaranda absolutely does.
We visited this evening as a family of five, which is often the ultimate stress test for any restaurant. Remarkably, everyone enjoyed their dish, and there were no negotiations, swaps, or dramatic sighs at the table. A minor miracle.
The food is the clear standout. The menu is varied without being overcomplicated, and everything is cooked fresh to order. Being able to see the chefs at work in the kitchen is a real bonus and instantly builds confidence, as well as appetite.
Thankfully, this is not yet another pan Asian menu awkwardly dropped into a Portuguese setting. Instead, the menu is well balanced, offering Portuguese, European, British, and Asian dishes that somehow all make sense together. It feels very much like a really good gastro pub, just with better weather (ok, it rained this evening).
You can immediately tell when people genuinely care about the food they serve, and that passion comes through clearly here.
Service is friendly, attentive, and refreshingly unpretentious.
For that reason, I can only highly recommend Jacaranda. We will definitely be back, and next time the mango sticky rice will not escape us again.

Mediterranean food menu. We came to eat here to celebrate a birthday. We booked to eat inside given the uncertain weather however our table was not ready and so had to wait outside for almost half an hour which didn’t start the evening well. That said the food was delicious but you certainly pay fo…

A wonderful gem of a restaurant in a tucked away corner of Luz. Owners are delightful and their staff do them proud too. Extensive well thought out menu, lovely wines to choose from and the puddings are just indulgent. As repeat visitors we don’t want too many people to know just how good it is!

Lovely service and absolutely brilliant food. I had the pleasure of eating here with my family and I ate the Thai beef salad. One of the best dishes I have had at a restaurant- so fresh and flavourful. Value was great and not too long to wait. Located near the seafront so fun atmosphere and great f…

A truly lovely gem in Luz. The food is something different and really delicious. It’s now a top favourite of ours. I have intolerances and nothing is too much of a bother, they happily adapted things to suit. The food’s excellent quality and it’s a lovely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. They serv…
