Both the food and the service were incredible. 100% recommended. Probably the best octopus we had ever eaten.

Charming sophisticated atmosphere. Wonderful servers. A the food is impressive. We started with dry tuna, Brie, caramelized onions on toast, then had the roast beef served rare on toast with a curry mayonnaise, green (spinach) rice, fried octopus and sweet potatoes. Finished with orange cake, more like a beautiful custard cake. Outstanding!!

Attentive, accommodating, friendly staff. We enjoyed the Algavarian cod & tuna steak mains. Generous portions. Wine was delicious and I wish we could have fit in some of the deserts which also looked great. Wished we’d had time to revisit!

A wonderful restaurant. We stumbled across it by chance - we were on our way to Tavira for dinner and decided to stop in Cabanas. We picked this place almost at random and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. It’s a cosy, spotless restaurant with genuinely excellent service (and we’ve dined out plenty of times before to make the comparison).

The food is delicious, with a few dishes that really stand out and pleasantly surprise you - far above the typical fare you often get in resort towns.

Honestly, there’s nothing negative I could say, because there simply isn’t anything. Wholeheartedly recommended.

Food was fantastic, the best prepared Octopus I have EVER had. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Nice balanced flavor with garlic not to overwhelming. My partner had curry with shrimp! Extremely well harmonized in flavor and perfect addition of spice. Not often that I give this much praise but it is well deserved. Had the privilege of getting a photo with the actual chef who made my fantastic meal and the kitchen manager who puts together the menu I got permission to post this. I can highly recommend this establishment.
