Restaurante O Teodósio

O Teodósio is a must do in the Algarve. A very popular restaurant where almost everybody has chicken piri-piri, but they have other dishes. The unique Algarvian desert D. Rodrigo is done first class in this restaurant. Unreservedly I recommend O Teodósio

They call themselves the King of chickens and rightly so! Their piri piri chicken is to die for :) we also had the accompanied tomato and onion salad was super yummy!! The restaurant has a very local vibe which indicates that the focus is on the food rather than a fancy ambience. The service is quick and top notch. Franco a guia is a must have. Missed to have the Don Rodrigo, but it is a recommended dessert here. Private shaded parking space for plenty of cars. We called and made a reservation for lunch and it is highly recommended to avoid waiting.

The food was delicious and the service was good. However, they didn’t fully get our order right and brought several side dishes for the starter that we hadn’t asked for, and we were charged for them as well. Apart from that, it was an enjoyable experience

Amazing chicken, have been 3 times in my 4 days here after being brought here the year before. This restaurant influenced my trip to visit the area again

This place was super packed when we got here and it is a big building with lots of locals. We entered from one entrance and had to ask a local how to get a ticket in line, turns out we had to go to another entrance, wait there and get our name written down, then come back to the original entrance we came in and wait there for our name to get called.

We got the full chicken, and I was a little surprised by the low quantity of meat. However the chicken comes with lots of crispy fries. We also got the tomato salad as well which had pretty good seasoning. The chicken itself was charred and was salty but tasty, the crispiness of the chicken was a double edged sword - whilst it was nice and crunchy it was also dry in some parts.

Overall, it was great. Would come here again.
