What a fabulous restaurant. Me and my mum became regulars whilst on holiday 2 years running, and this remains our favourite place to eat. The food was always delicious, and portions were super generous. The service was wonderful, with all the waiting staff being super friendly and accommodating. The Portuguese steak was our favourite… Would definitely recommend!

I was in the restaurant in the evening and ate a beef fillet cooked on a hot stone. It was excellent, more than 5 stars for the meat. The French fries and local olives were also highly recommended. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to return.

Today we visited Valverde Restaurant. It’s a hidden gem between Lagos and Luz. The first thing we noticed is the staff is very friendly. Great service and good advice about the menu. The food was absolutely fantastic. Tastefully and very fresh. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Also there is a free parking place if you come by car. So without any doubt, a 5 star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Today myself and my grandson booked to go and try the Val Verde's latest offering.
They are doing a Sunday Lunch Buffet and we thought it was really, really good.
It was their first day and there were some things that they will improve with experience, as it is a totally different offering from usual, from a buffet trolley.
The main thing for us, was the quality of their meat.
They had Pork, Lamb, Chicken and Spare Ribs. I only had Lamb and Pork and it was cooked to perfection, great quality meat. Fantastic.
Paolo is, as ever, the perfect host. Always a funny anecdote and laughter all round.
His staff are customer focused and look after the customers very well.
We both enjoyed our first Buffet experience at Val Verde, and without a doubt, we will be back.

So, having experienced this restaurant in the previous years, it only gets better on all elements that one looks for when researching where to eat in Praia.
Service is outstanding with recommendations based on your palet and not suits the restaurants sales pitch like others in luz.

We are staying in the Baia da Luz so it made sense to visit as it just around the corner.

Don't understand the good reviews! Fish: half with lots of bones, pulp very tough. Fries baked with old fat and flabby. Ambience not appealing. Nice service gets one point. You probably have to order the meat to make it taste good

One of the few restaurants that serves as early as 18:00h. The staff is friendly, the place very spacious and extensive.
We shared a garlic bread as an appetizer and then enjoyed our main courses with a white house wine. Very good meat and freshly grilled fish delight loaf and soul. Recommended!
