Lovely beach with a special vibe (probably comes from the surf 🏄 spirit) . Very large , we were in high season and there was plenty of space. There are showers, toilets and changing room, and even a bar at the entrance where you can enjoy the sunset

This beach features black volcanic sand and offers some of the best waves, making it a paradise for surfers and bodyboarders alike. The turquoise waves rolling onto the dark sand.
There are numerous lifeguards on duty, ensuring a secure environment for all visitors. This is particularly reassuring, especially given the presence of some jellyfish and big waves.
The beach is well-equipped with amenities, including well-maintained bathrooms and showers, and several beachfront bars and restaurants. One of the highlights is enjoying a meal or a cocktail at the TukáTulá Beach Bar, where the views are spectacular, the cocktails are amazing, and the food is exceptional. The linguini and burgers, in particular, come highly recommended.

Nice beach just outside of Rebeira Grande. Lots of amenities on site like parking spaces, snack bars and showers as well as toilets (but are closed after 6 p.m.). The beach itself is black volcanic sand but very nice (but gets hot in the sun). The beach is a spot for surfing, for bathing waves can sometimes get quite high but this is typical for island in the Atlantic. The beach also is watched by lifeguards.

Beautiful black(when wet) sand beach on the north shore of Sao Miguel. Free changing rooms and bathrooms. The beach was extremely clean and there was a ton of space even on a sunny day. Waves are pretty intense and the water was mostly being used by surfers. Restaurant/bar and ice cream onsite to complete your day.
