As noted in other reviews a real hidden gem in Funchal. Had a good lunch and some beers for an amazing price! Very friendly staff and a good location to cool down for a swim in the sea with showers at location!

Last day and we stumble upon this beach bar hidden away in the lee of the fort. Very pleasant terrace by the ocean with a sra breeze. Draught Coral Sidra. Very refreshing..1.60€ for a smal beer....came baxk 6 months later. Still good.

Have been here on a few trips to Maderia and it’s somewhere I always make sure to bring friends. The seafood is to die for, the bolo de cacao sandwich’s are incredible and the beer and vibe are lovely. Fantastic sun trap, cold beer, great food, and some friendly ducks waddling around.

Apparently, you can't ride a bicycle. We were chased away by the staff in a very rude way.
It was a really unpleasant experience and the behavior of the staff was far from welcoming or service-minded.
Think of another time before you choose to eat here.

This is considered the locals beach in Funchal its definitely best spot to swim in the ocean when you are in Funchal also it convenient because there are the public showers, the reasonably priced restaurant and bar too

Found this by accident really and so glad we did. People gather here to eat, drink, swim and just hang out. Lovely friendly atmosphere, lovely staff, very reasonably priced. We ate the steak sandwiches which were delicious and amazing value.
