Tasca 26

Due to an unexpected flight delay, our travel plans were turned upside down, and we found ourselves on a spontaneous road trip down to the Algarve. Exhausted and stressed, we ended up having our first dinner at Tasca 26 in Porches—and it was the absolute best decision we could have made.

The food was incredibly comforting. The Beef Tenderloin (Bife de Lombo) was cooked to perfection, and the Fried Shrimp (Camarão Frito) was flavorful and deeply satisfying. Pairing the meal with their simple Couvert and a crisp, chilled glass of Vinho Verde completely washed away the travel fatigue and grounded us in the moment. Beyond the excellent food, the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff gave us the exact comfort we needed to truly start our vacation. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for authentic, hearty Portuguese cuisine!

Excellent food, the meat dishes are absolutely fantastic, the service is excellent, even fun.

incredible good kitchen. here of course the main focus is on meat. very good wine selection, humorous waiters, nice atmosphere - outstanding eating experience.
no wonder there are many people waiting outside to get in, even on a weekend in october. prices absolutely reasonable for what you get.

Great spot for an enjoyable meal. Large menu of wines from different regions around Portugal & variety of food options from meat to seafood that would make everyone happy. Service was exceptional. You know you are at a great spot when the owner has to unfortunately turn people away due to no reservations. Highly suggest booking ahead of time, worth it!

Would 100% recommend but you will need to book, visit in person to make booking for a future date or call. The food is great and the service is awesome. But far the best traditional food I have eaten in portugal. Very welcoming and tasty!
