I’ve eaten Indian food all over the world - in India itself, Australia, across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, The Caribbeans and beyond. Thousands of restaurants, from street food to fine dining.
And I can say this without hesitation: what I experienced at United Kitchens of India was something else entirely.

This wasn’t just a meal, it was a journey.
Every bite carried depth, balance and identity. From the boldness of the South to the warmth and complexity of the North, the flavours unfolded one after another, never heavy, never confused. Just precise, confident cooking that knows exactly what it’s doing. A real party in the mouth - not the cliché kind, but the kind you remember the next day.

And then… the ice cream tasting.
Twelve different flavours. Exotic fruits. Each one distinct, clean, surprising and yes, completely mind-blowing. I genuinely had to stop, laugh and shake my head. I’ve never experienced anything like that in an Indian restaurant. Ever.

On top of all this, the service deserves its own applause.
Narajan, the owner, is one of those rare hosts who makes you feel genuinely welcome, warm, humble, proud of what he serves, without a hint of ego. His team follows the same energy: polite, attentive, calm, and professional, making the whole experience effortless and relaxed.

This place isn’t trying to impress - it does impress.
If you love honest and traditional Indian food and think you’ve seen it all, think again.
United Kitchens of India in Vilamoura is operating on a different level.

I’ll be back. Without question.

I ordered from here through Uber eat’s. It was so delicious. I will definitely come in person to try this place out! It is halal. They have different types of cuisine. I loved their chicken pakora, veggie pakora and their lamb biriyani. Their lamb biriyani tastes like Pakistani biriyani. It would be great if they can add some Bengali cuisine in their menu as there are very few options we get.

From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed with warm hospitality and attentive service that adds a genuine personal touch. The staff take the time to get to know you, making it easy to trust their recommendations.

Start with the crispy spinach and cauliflower Manchurian-an absolute must-try. Chicken Tikka, flavourful and tender. Lamb specialties, rich in flavour and perfectly cooked, I had to have both lamb dishes. Lol. Finish with a trio of ice creams featuring unique and surprising flavours.

Easily the best Indian restaurant in Vilamoura Portugal.

A testament to Chef Narayan.

Great place, we had the chef's recommendations, which were 2 starters, 2 mains, a rice and some bread. We wouldn't have chosen any of these dishes from the menu so glad we did this as the food was all delicious. There was also some ice cream to share at the end which were different but delicious flavours. Food was amazing, service was quick and attentive. Will visit again when we're back in the Algarve.

The waiting staff were very attentive.
The food was absolutely delicious, we would not go to any other Indian restaurant in the area and have definitely been put off Indian restaurants/takeaways in the UK as none that we have tried, where we live in Norfolk, can match United Kitchens of India.
We paid €55 a head for five of us.
This was amazing value for the quality and quantity of food and drink which we had.
We also had a round table which is more sociable for a group.
It was extremely easy to book the table online the same day.
