A Casa

A warm welcome on a wet day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived around 1445 and it was still busy but we were served quickly. I had the octopus with beans and chorizo and rice, followed by a slice of the sweet and sticky Algarve delight.

We turned up about 1pm to find A Casa packed - all tables taken. In fact people were queueing! So we went for a pre-lunch drink elsewhere, came back just after 2pm and got a table straight away. Lucky us! We had deep fried octopus, which was the softest ever, and the biggest squid we have ever seen. It must have been a good 12 inches long; so big we couldn't eat it all and had to take the rest home in a carton (that the waitress was happy to supply). Deserts were lime mousse and pears in wine - both delicious. With a lovely view and great service, we highly recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch here. Octopus salad followed by grilled octopus. Loved the restaurant. Quality of the food could not have been better and it was such a pleasant friendly place. Our waitress was lovely, so friendly and helpful. Meal was not expensive

The best grilled octopus in town, super much better that the most expensive restaruant in Santa Luzia( next door casa do polvo restaurant). Also the atmoshphere is very friendly. The quality of fresh seafood is amazing ( prawns, octopus, salmon, small grilled fish and cod - bacalhau). they use very good indegredients , even oil of olive from local factory is amazing- so good taste. Also desserts are very good. Very good quality to price.

This was the first place we tried in Santa Luzia, in a really, really hot summer day. We treated ourselves to delicious cold dishes, octopus and "estupeta de atum" (Algarve style salty tuna) salad. We enjoyed so much we keep returning year after year, multiple times during the summer.

It really is an awesome place to have a light meal, or a feast. I've tried almost every dish in the menu and I'm yet to be disappointed.
