Great place to have a afternoon lunch in the sun. Very friendly staff, great food and relaxed vibe.

We first stumbled across this place in 2021 and we loved it. So much so that on our current visit to Portugal we made it a priority to go there. Happy to say it’s as good now. Totally recommend.

Tucked Away & Totally Unforgettable | Tasquinha do Bruno

After spending the day at Ilha da Fuseta, an easygoing beach full of local folks, clear waters, and just the right amount of quiet.
We hopped off the little ferry with that "we went to the beach " hunger.

We weren’t in the mood for the usual tourist spots on the main drag, so we drifted through the back alleys, just letting our instincts guide us. That’s when we noticed this charming terrace, set with some of the most inventive tables we’d ever seen. Old Pfaff sewing machines given a second life as dinner tables.
So clever. That's what's Up-Cycling is about!

We settled in and ordered:

🦪 Clams so fresh and tasty, we had to ask for round two.
🍤 Shrimp swimming in garlic and olive oil, bold and full of zing.
🐟 Tuna, simple and honest, just the way you hope it’ll be.
🍗 Chicken glazed in honey, a cozy balance of sweet and savory.
🍅 Tomato salad, ripe and refreshing like summer itself.

What made Tasquinha do Bruno so special wasn’t just the food.
it was the feeling. Like you’d stumbled on someone’s backyard gathering and they said, “Come on in.” The cook and the staff were so nice and sweet

It’s the kind of place you think about long after you’ve left!

The best place we ate while on holiday. Amazing fresh fish, cooked to order, beautifully flavoured salads, delicious rose wine and efficient and friendly service. Also ridiculously inexpensive for the quality. We drove out of our way to revisit here and would have happily eaten lunch here every day. It's excellent.

This was definitely among our best meals in Portugal. It had a fun mix of people from the neighborhood and tourists eating/drinking there.

We had the roast pork sausage (chorizo), padron peppers, garlic shrimps, and baby octopus with garlic, along with bread and olives and the red sangria. Everything was excellent - definitely don’t miss this place if you are around Tavira.
