Adega d' Alvor

What an amazing restaurant. Great food, wine, desserts, friendly service, and a fantastic vibe. We had the cataplana, which was full of flavor, and the pork steak, which was really good. We finished with desserts and everything was excellent. Highly recommended.

We had the most amazing dinner at Adega d’Alvor during our stay in Alvor at the end of October. The restaurant was busy despite it being out of peak season which is always a good sign. The first impression was fantastic, we loved the decor and the beautiful tree and the lighting was lovely. Our waiter, Rodney, introduced himself by name which was a really nice way to start the meal and he was incredibly knowledgeable about everything on the menu. From his recommendation, my husband and teenage son chose the Cataplana to share and I had the lamb shank. Even our picky 7 year old daughter had no problem finding something she wanted to eat. We were blown away by every dish. The cataplana though was the star of the show and very reasonable for the price. The lemon meringue pie was heavenly and we managed to do it justice despite being absolutely stuffed by the time we’d finished our mains. All around us other customers also cleared their plates. The service was so friendly, attentive and warm, Rodney was absolutely charming and made us the best Caipirinhas we’ve ever had, and we’ve had many. We felt as though we’d made a new friend by the time we left the restaurant. We have already recommended Adega d’Alvor to friends who visit nearby Lagos several times a year and will be back without a doubt on our next visit.

Great place awesome food. This place is a cozy eclectic atmosphere with delicious food. Rodney was our server and he went beyond our expectations, he recommended what to eat and welcomed us with a drink from the house. Will recommend it to seafood lovers.

The food we ordered was insanely delicious we ordered the shell fish seafood rice For 2 but we had 3 people and we were all Full. They welcomed us with an outstanding Glass of Champagne the people were Extremely nice and we met the person serving us Rodney he is sooo nice and If you meet him you are very lucky.
We can't wait to go back and try the other dishes as well.
