An amazing stop off on a long bike ride. Super friendly staff, awesome views from the decked seating area and delicious grilled chicken! Just be prepared for the long steep hill on the way out of here, electric bike or car recommend 🤣

Simply the best restaurant in the world! Really I don't understand some reviews around here. This place is not for luxury, is just wonderful to have a good food really on the beach, feel the ocean, etc. And I think the owners are doing a such a great job, is not easy to bring all the food and drinks so close to the beach. For me it's maybe the best restaurant in the world!

How difficult can it be to update your opening hours to say you are closed??!

We stopped here outside of meal hours and ordered drinks for €13. Two people in our group didn’t order anything, they were just sitting with us for a few minutes and wanted to use the toilet. The owner forced them to pay to use the bathroom, even though we were already paying customers and the place was completely empty, it’s off-season and not a single table was eating.

When one person from our group opened their own thermos, the owner started shouting aggressively from the window, complaining that people “only order water and sit here.” He wasn’t yelling only at us, he was shouting the same thing at other tables who were also sitting quietly with drinks.

Meanwhile, I was drinking a terrible €9 Aperol while being yelled at, before the owner slammed the window in my face.

The atmosphere was hostile, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. Charging paying customers for the toilet and publicly yelling at everyone is unacceptable.

Extremely rude and arrogant service.
Our friends arrived before us and ordered two drinks. My husband and I used the bathroom, and afterward we were watching a special show nearby. Then a woman suddenly started shouting at me, claiming I had entered the cafe through the “wrong” door even though the “right” one was blocked off with a red ribbon. She yelled “Pay 50 cents!”, but I explained that we were sitting together with our friends who had already ordered drinks.

I understand that the restaurant doesn’t want the bathroom to be used by the public, but our friends were paying customers. Then a man leaned out of the window and began shouting at us in front of our child, bcs we were drinking from our own thermos. He continued yelling for quite a while.

I had actually planned to order some desserts, but this kind of behavior was so rude and frustrating that we completely lost any desire to stay.

I’ve lived in Portugal for many years and have never experienced such rude and unprofessional behavior.
