We had the shellfish and monkfish rice which was really tasty and a huge portion! This place has a great view/location, so they could easily get away with bad food, but they don't. The only downside for me was the toilets were really quite grim... otherwise a brilliant spot!
Other reviews seem to be upset about the rules (no dogs/swimsuits etc) but given how popular a spot it is, I can understand why they have to be strict with such things!

Wonderful beach, good for surfing or if you want to escape the crowded beaches. Some places look like scenes from a distant planet. There is a bar with food, drinks and toilets. No mobile net or wifi - you have to talk to other people.😎

The restaurant has the most beautiful view on the ocean, you can see the surfers from here. The cheese omelette is great and comes with home made chips. The best place for lunch after surfing in castelejo. Service isn't always perfect but efficient.

If you plan to visit Portugal, this is must visit place! Especially the sunset is really amazing!

We have been coming here for years but recently the staff just seem so welcoming and attentive. What an unmissable place to sit and eat if you are visiting the area. The food is yummy and the views incredible
