Guys, what can I say about Ciuccio! The owner, Claudia, was so accommodating and welcoming, you can just feel the love and attention to everything in this venue. Let me get to the food - APEROL/SANGRIA with bruschetta 10€ - absolutely 10/10 across all boards! We had chicken tacos - elite 10/10 (not even joking you need to have them) salmon teriyaki (20/10) even the generous cucumber and onion salad was just giving life. The mezza for two, generous helpings, humus, babaganoush, Mediterranean veg, red pepper cod - 10/10 again. Now puddings, award winning (it should be) tirimasu and the basque cheesecake - should both win awards.
If you’re lucky enough to be in Lagos here is a MUST! I’d just get a flight back over for the meal, all my love to Claudia and the team - amazing!!!

Omg… what an incredible, cozy, little restaurant in a small street in the historic downtown of Lagos! The tomato bruschetta was so perfect I almost didn’t get a picture. The bolognese was the best I’ve ever had. I wish I could have licked the plate - I used bread. And the mint sorbet is beyond words. The chef delivered it to my table and said “That is best thing you’ve had in whole life.” And walked away. I thought you don’t even know me. I have eaten at Michelin star restaurants. I have never been so humbled in the best possible way. I happily admit I was wrong and he was right. It was truly the best thing I’ve had - so layered, such a blended set of flavors, and it just melts in your mouth. I immediately made a reservation for the next night to catch before the closed for the holidays. Wow. Bonus - the wines were perfectly paired. A must experience if you’re in Lagos. And definitely make a reservation they are busy because they are awesome. Can’t wait for spring reopening. Thank you!

What a treat! We felt weird going to an Italian restaurant early on in our trip to Portugal, but I'm so glad we did. Everything was perfect—the small, quaint restaurant, the decorations, and the staff was lovely, too.
We made reservations and arrived about 15 minutes early. They seated us after another group didn't show up about 5 minutes later, but we were happily waiting outside with glasses of wine.
Two of us got two glasses of wine, two bruschetta appetizers, two pastas, and one dessert and were happily full when we left. They had an eggplant pasta (vegetarian) that was so simple but so perfect, and my husband talked about his Bolognese for days. The tiramisu was delightful, as well.
Definitely make reservations and go for a meal if you're in the area.

We had a wonderfully complete meal here — from appetizer to pasta, dessert, and drinks. The teriyaki salmon was cooked perfectly — tender and juicy while keeping the natural sweetness of the fish. The salad on the side had a Chinese-style seasoning, which was a pleasant surprise.
I absolutely loved the pesto pasta — the bits of lemon zest were the highlight! They added a refreshing aroma and balanced out the richness of the pesto and pistachios beautifully. Since we usually prefer meat dishes, the staff recommended the Montanara pasta, and the roasted beef in it was delicious 😋
For dessert, both the tiramisu and the mint sorbet were fantastic. It was my first time seeing olive oil drizzled over sorbet, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise — smooth, fragrant, and refreshing!

We had the best pasta experience ever. The truffle and pesto burrata pasta were so so good.
Teryaki salmon was good but the cucumber salad thing on the side even better.
Tiramisu was life changing.. the mascarpone was so creamy.
+ you have to have wine on the side (perfect combo)
1000% recommend coming here!!

We were looking for something different to eat and found this little trattoria in the middle of old town. The food was delicious and very authentic. The couple that own the restaurant are very enthusiastic about their cooking and happily chatted the choices on the menu. Service was also very quick …

thank you.
regarding the bruschetta. you ordered bruschetta scamorza which is bread with grilled smoked cheese. not weird. that’s what it is. tomatoes would destroy the cheese and don’t belong there. there are people putting cheese on a regular tomatoe bruschetta. i know. it’s weird.
the pasta is…

We've been here a few times and consistently happy with our dining experience. This will always be on our rotation for a solid, well prepared Italian meal when we are in Lagos. The portions are a good size and flavor is valued over volume. EVERYTHING is seasoned beautifully and that rarely happens…
