We were very surprised by the quality of the food here in what is advertised primarily as a cocktail bar.
We wanted a cataplana without rice and the waiter was more than happy to accommodate this request. The sardines were crispy on the outside and really delicious. Likewise, the cataplana was everything we'd expected and came in a rich, and flavoursome sauce.
All in all, this was a great dining experience and my partner and I would be very happy to eat here again.

Excellent service, by our waitress Tia (might have spelt that wrong), very attentive, especially with my husband's son who is autistic. The food was good, I'm a Sea Bass eater, so no faults. You can order a small or large lasagne. My husband had a chicken salad. The pictures say it all. Food came piping hot as expected. I swapped my boiled potatoes for rice.
I had a large fresh orange juice and the waitress brought the ice separately.
Not overally pricey either, for three people we paid €70 that included half of bottle of red wine.
Will more than likely go back before leaving Portugal. Worth the 5⭐.

Not sure where they geting bad reviews from. We had good experience every time. Very nice location.Lovely friendly staff. Young waiter remember us few nights later that we thought was very nice. Had food there few times and it was good quality and very tasty each time.

We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve dinner at Gavea tonight. We arrived last minute as a group of 14, and Mohamed accommodated us without hesitation, which genuinely saved our evening.
George then served us throughout the night and made us feel incredibly welcome and truly like part of the family. The atmosphere was friendly and vibrant, the food was great, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish.
A brilliant night and a perfect way to end 2025. Highly recommended.
