Il Lamparo

Great views, tasty food and friendly service. They even made me some gluten free fries as the normal fries had a coating I couldn’t eat. Great Aperol spritz too, a generous amount of fizz used and a perfect mix. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal here as part of a group of nine. We turned up with no booking and were seated quickly by a friendly waiter, at an outside table with a lovely view of the harbour. The service throughout was exceptional, very attentive, but not annoying. The food was equally good, with a good choice of mainly Italian dishes! I enjoyed a delicious bowl of tagliatelle with salmon and prawns, which was amazing, and a very good portion too. Others in our party had steaks, which I am told were incredible, and good quality cuts of meat too. The atmosphere was good, with a nice level of background noise that still allowed conversation. The music was not too loud, unlike some others in the area, which is one of the reasons we chose to go here in the first place! The only slight criticism we do have, is that there were televisions showing football, which we would have preferred were turned off, but thats only a minor issue.

Overall, a 5 star experience and would recommend it to anybody.

Sept 2025. A group of fourteen of us had dinner at Il Lamparo. The food was perfectly cooked and very tasty. I had the sirloin steak and my wife had a chicken thing. Bearing in mind the size of our party the service was spot on and efficient.

Best Italian on the Marina! We had wonderful food and great service. Can get very busy on an evening so the earlier you go the better.
Can’t complain about anything!
