King Palace

My wife and I recently visited King Palace during a visit to Carvoeiro. What a pleasant surprise.

Sari (hope I got his name right) was our host - a very pleasant gentleman. He answered our numerous questions about the menu and in the end we chose the following:

Mixed starter to begin - a mixture of vegetable based and fish dumplings (for lack of a better word) that were quite tasty. For my entree I chose the Xacuti De Galinha (chicken dish cooked in the “Goa” style - Portuguese inspired) and my wife chose the Butter Chicken. Both dishes were amazing - very tasty but not overpowering with the spice. We also had some Garlic Naan.

It is hard to believe that one of our most memorable meals during our month-long stay in the Algarve will have come from an Indian restaurant.

Great value for money , enjoyed lunch off the set menu.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Quality of food was excellent. Strongly recommend if visiting Caroveiro.

Lovely service on the only rainy day in the whole week. Food was great too. Served piping hot.

Really beautiful, clean, well presented food. Had a wonderful time and the menu has a fantastic selection. Ishq our server was very friendly and welcoming. All staff were pleasant and warm. Would definitely recommend eating here if you’re wanting something different to the other restaurants in the area.

My first visit here, and I’m genuinely glad we came. I knew it was going to be good because of the other high ratings but was even more pleasantly surprised.
The decor is nice, with a nice ambience.
The service is really warm, friendly and attentive. It’s clearly a family establishment with several generations around, and that shows. There’s an ease and friendliness in the service, and a lot of experience in the kitchen. I took my 75yr old mother, who has never had Indian food before and she loved it. The server checked on her tastes and advised her on what she should order. I knew what I wanted, and my dish was genuinely higher quality than anything I have ordered in Indian restaurants elsewhere.

be back…. Visiting here was like visiting old friends and that is very unique
