So, let me start by saying we'd seen a couple of bad reviews on this place but I was adamant I wanted the veggie lasagna so we took the 30 minute walk and took a punt.

We arrived and yes it's cash only, we had none and low and behold the cash machine literally next to the place was out of order! Gutted!

But no need, the owner let us eat anyway and we'd pay him in a few days, honestly what a guy. Total trust and I love that. Please do not take advantage of this part of the review.

We had two bottles of wine, starters and mains as well as sides. Absolutely stuffed. But the FOOD WAS SO GOOD.

Vegetarian lasagna was the best I think we've ever had out, pizza was beautiful. Everything was fresh and tasted like it should when fresh. Salad was delicious. Starters of bruschetta (beautiful tomatoes and garlicky!) and the stuffed mushrooms was gorgeous.

Great size portions.

Yes there was a wait but we understood why so no problem at all, just take a game, enjoy the wine, relax! Everything is made fresh to order so it's worth the wait!

Listen, I never got your name (the owner) but I want to thank you deeply for letting us eat and trusting in us, you're a good man and you and the team there deserve all the success.

Anyone reading this review, if you're unsure, this place is homely, great food, great owner, can't fault it at all. I just wish we'd not ordered so much as pudding looked amazing too!

Even though we didn’t book they made space for us as a family of 4. The staff were super accommodating with the kids and made them a beautiful spaghetti bolognese. The main guy/ chef was great fun and you can see them cook everything from fresh in the kitchen. Also the pizza guy does all the dough twirling! Food was fantastic, staff were awesome, a little gem of a place ❤️

We walked here from town and it was worth the walk. The food was good and fresh. They have a view through the kitchen, which was clean and modern. We had pizza but the salads looked spectacular.
The owner was super friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend trying this place. It is popular, even in the off season, so a reservation is recommended.

We visited Luisa’s earlier this evening with friends and had a mixture of pasta and pizza dishes. Their dishes are cooked to order with fresh ingredients and are simply excellent. Their pizza base starters are really tasty. The pasta dishes are the best in Carvoeiro by some distance. Service was friendly timely without being rushed. Highly recommended when you are ready for great Italian food. 🙌🙌🙌

A last minute choice as we couldn't get food at our hotel. Initially a bit concerned that it was a bit loud and chaotic but we actually had a great night.
It was the last night of service before the break until January. The staff (and some regulars) were definitely in a party mood!
We had two fantastic pizzas, salad,beer and wine for EUR40.
