This is hands down the best restaurant and service in Vilamoura. We have been coming here for years, to this family owned restaurant... the owners and the family go out of their way to make us feel at home.
I remember our orders , Extra and an extra special place to come...

Definitely worth seeking out this restaurant. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.
Had a beautiful toasted cheese, tomato & parma ham starters with a little fiery chilli oil on the side - not for faint hearted! Very tasty sea bass, filleted by the waiter, and lamb cutlets for mains.

We've been coming back to O Pirata every year since 2022 — and for good reason. It's one of the best restaurants in Vilamoura, not just for the quality of the food, but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The standout dish for us is the seafood cataplana: beautifully served in a copper pot, generous in portion, and rich in flavor — a perfect taste of Portugal. The boss and staff are friendly and always smiling, and you can feel the care they put into every dish and interaction.

What makes this place even more special is the pool area. It's a relaxing spot to hang out, especially between June and September when the experience is at its best. Whether you're here for a casual lunch or a slow afternoon by the water, this is a spot that truly delivers.

The atmosphere is good, the ambience is very nice.
Service was good and food was amazing. Traditional Portuguese food. They have many options including pizzas. We ordered Bacalhau and Chicken with mushrooms and it was amazing.

Very delicious food! We had lamp chop , soup of the day( veggie soup) and chicken salad. All very nice. All ingredients are great, for example the potatoes, sautéed veggies, fried onions and lamp chops in the lamp chop dish are all top!
