We visited this place on Sunday, January 5th, and couldn’t find a single trash bin. Garbage from the ocean and tourists remains on the beach, ruining its appearance. Hopefully, addressing this issue will help resolve the problem.

For us the most beautiful beach on the island. Nice black sand, a stunning view and clear blue water. After taking the steps down in the bay you will arrive at this nice place. A restaurant with food, toilets and showers provides everything you need. The water is just wonderful here.

Be careful of you are in a wheelchair. The walk way was locked. So my husband had to carry the chair over the opening. Coming back up the first bit was steep and I came out my chair. Lucky I had someone with me. But very nice. Black sand.

In my opinion the most beautiful sand beach on Madeira. Very clean. Not overcrowded. Shower, toilet and changing room available. Nice Snorkling spot with bigger fishes. Very cheap beer at the beach bar 🍻😃 with friendly service👍 sun beds (4€) and umbrellas🏖️ for rent
