Ramires

Fast service, plenty of space, nice staff. But the most important, the best piri piri chicken in the area. Their chicken with tomatoes salad and friea are fingers liking. The wines also good, and very cold beer. I recommend to visit this place if you are in the area. It worth to drive for an hour here.

Ramires restaurant in Guia where the chicken was born !

This restaurant was amazing ! You get to eat peri peri chicken where it was born ! The atmosphere is amazing ! You have to go in and take a number and wait outside until your turn but it’s worth it ! The food was incredible ! They sometimes get students from local colleges who come and perform for everyone in traditional outfits and instruments, you can choose to tip them or not, but its very customary to, and this is how they pay for their education. For a family of 4 we ordered 4 orders of full peri peri chicken, and it was more than enough. We preferred their French fries over their salad. Amazing vibe ! A must visit !

We were in the neighborhood, so of course we had to try Ramires, the restaurant known as the founder of the Piri Piri chicken tradition. The chicken was well prepared and full of flavor. While it’s not exactly the style of Piri Piri chicken I usually prefer, I’m glad we got to try this iconic spot!

Best chicken in the Algarve. Been twice in three days. Arrived both times around 8 and provided with a lovely table. It may be out of town but well worth the drive out. Had a mix of the normal and spicy chicken accompanied by a mixed salad and fries. The house red was smooth and dry. The waiters are pleasant and pragmatic; the focus is the fabulous chicken.
