Fantastic tapas and amazing wine list to match! We shared a bunch of starters and it was more than enough for the group. Great staff, and worth hearing their pairing recommendations.

If you want to have a delicious meal, don’t hesitate and pay Casa da Tocha a visit. Tasty options that doesn’t stay only with Portuguese tradicional. Fresh food cooked right. We were lucky they made a spot for us to eat but make sure you have a reservation. Huge wine selection. Ask the servers what they recommend and don’t be afraid to practice your portuguese, it goes along long way with the locals and they really appreciate it.

Very good food! The tapas were very good! Nice local dishes and a great selection of wines also by the glass! The staffs are very friendly! Busy place, reservation recommended!

This place is a MUST! A local gem, with the most delicious tapas, seafood, and meat dishes. We ventured from our hotel, and while we questioned our choices en route, as soon as we walked through the door we realized we made the right choice. We were greeted by the owner and even though we were so late, he made room for us to have a glass of wine while we waited for the next table to clear. He was so welcoming. The staff was delightful. The food exceeded our expectations. We definitely over-ordered, but I don’t regret any of it. Honestly, it’s such a great little hidden gem. I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to come back.

Friendly efficient service by the two waitresses. Booked easily through the online app. Unfussy, charming restaurant with good food. Everything flavoured and seasoned to perfection. We enjoyed everything and left our plates squeaky clean! Left the restaurant feeling happy and satiated...needed to be carted back home by taxi after over-eating a little bit too much, the food was that good!

What a find! First of all please leave your ocean side establishments and venture into Portimao city centre. Casa da Tocha is an absolute gem. Quality of food served and the value for money is amazing. Also this is a wine shop so the choice of some delicious wines is very broad. Top notch service a…

First time at the restaurant and I was somewhat disappointed, as the reviews indicated that this would be a top experience. However, it is no more than a restaurant with average quality price ratio. We paid 36 euros per person. We ate a steak in the stone, whose taste was banal, accompanied by frie…

Very disappointing experience. We had made an online reservation for an outdoor table, but when we arrived, they could not find our reservation and seated us inside in an uncomfortable spot near a door. During the meal, we even had to move our own table to let a stroller pass. The food was decent o…

This restaurant was amazing from start to finish. The wine selected by our waitress was sublime. The tuna tataki was melt in your mouth. Chocolate cake was delicious.
The attention to detail was first rate and the wait staff were friendly and efficient.
Would definitely return when here again. D…
