We visited the restaurante as we walked by and used to drink in the building when it was Charly's Bar 17 years ago and thought we would stop for old times sake.
Firstly, the views whilst you order and wait for your food are stunning - you could hardly ask for more - not that the wait times were bad at all despite seeming to have most tables filled on a warm Sunday afternoon.
The service was spot on, on hand if needed, attentive without being overbearing.
We shared a mixed Tapas of Bruschetta, tempura prawns and crispy chicken wings, some fries and bruschetta with goats cheese, ham, honey and walnuts - it was all divine!
We do not intend to leave it 17 years before our next visit!

A wonderful tapas restaurant overlooking the Praia and the central village area. They offer a wide range of tapas options, wine, and deserts.
Of the highlights for me were the grilled chorizo. It’s as excellent, with excellent flavors. The mushrooms were also excellent, as were the cod fritters.
Another highlight are the wines. Almost all on the list are from the Algarve, giving you a great option to try these local wines.
The staff here was great, providing suggestions as well as attentive service.
It is worth making a booking if you can as they do get busy later in the evening.

We happened to be passing by and it was the best choice of all. Excellent family service, quality, and quantity. The octopus is spectacular, grilled or in rice, the cod presentation is unbeatable, the picanha is very good, and the tuna is just as it should be.

Beautiful location for a spot of lunch. Light, airy dining area with friendly and attentive staff. We ate the trio of bruschetta, crispy squid, chicken with peanut sauce, pica pau and sausage croquettes. Our son had the burger da Vila. All superb. We will definitely come again!

Restaurant was recommended by people we met in another restaurant. And it was great. The cod fritters were superb! The fish was fresh and the service was good and attentive. Delicious white house wine. The price is just a bit higher than elsewhere but you get super fresh fish for that!!!

The restaurant is in a lovely location with great views, it has inside and outside seating. We were disappointed with the food quality and quantity for the price charged. For example there were 4 very small mozzarella croquettes which we would say were not home made. Wine was expensive at 17.50 …
