Absolutely fantastic! We came here because we found it on Google Maps and pleased to say we had the warmest welcome (the owner is just lovely with such a beautiful energy). We ate the best octopus we have ever had… so exceptionally tender and melt-in-the-mouth. C’était délicieux ! Recommend + + + + +

The best food I’ve had in the Algarve. Simple, traditional, flavorful and prepared with care.
The grilled octopus and sweet potato dish was absolutely incredible. Bread was freshly baked and the butter homemade. Plus the service was outstanding. I wish I was staying closer so I could come here again and again!

What a delight. A very warm welcome from the hostess who throughout was friendly and attentive. I had a pepper steak. It was cooked to perfection and tender. I would say it was the best I have eaten in a very long time. I cannot praise it high enough. I thoroughly recommend it.

Directly at the entrance of the town of Alte, on the right side, is the inconspicuous restaurant. There, we enjoyed a very good lunch. Solid Portuguese home cooking.
Conclusion: Go there and try it.

From start to finish an experience you would not want we were first in the restaurant no one else arrived for at least 40mins so no excuse to have little attention from the waitress who then proceeded to get the starter wrong ok we will live with that. The mains arrived and looked presentable and …
