Retinto Rodízio & Wine, Vilamoura

Three guys on a golf trip in the Algarve and we couldn’t have picked a better spot than Retinto Brazilian Rodizio for a memorable night out. From the moment we sat down, everything was top class.

We started with a selection of side Tapas, which were the perfect way to kick off the evening. For the main course, we went big with the Surf & Turf — jumbo tiger prawn paired with a beautifully cooked Argentine rump steak. Absolutely outstanding quality and flavor.

The wine recommendation was spot on: a 2022 Syrah Reserva from Casa Ermelinda Freitas (south of Lisbon). Smooth, rich, and the perfect complement to the steak and seafood.

What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. The owner, Ricardo, came by our table several times to chat and share the story behind the restaurant. He explained the three distinct spaces — the steakhouse, the Tapas bar, and the dedicated wine tasting room — each with its own fantastic atmosphere. You can tell there’s real passion behind the concept.

Our waiter Rui was excellent — knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely proud of the food and wines of Portugal. His recommendations and insights made the evening even better.

Everything was delicious, the service was warm and personal, and the overall experience was flawless. After dinner, we strolled down by the marina — hundreds of ocean-going yachts lit up against the night sky — the perfect ending to a perfect evening.

Great atmosphere and amazing food. I had the unlimited Rodizio which is recommended. Staff are attentive and will go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction. I also recommend the sangria - very good

The best place myself and my family have been too in a very long time. The price was right, the wine was great (1.5 litre bottle). The variety of meat was incredible and the side orders complimented it well.

The service from all staff was exceptional and the owner was also a good crack.

Already booked again for our final supper before leaving Portugal.

I celebrated my 40th birthday at Retinto Restaurante, and I can honestly say it was absolutely magical from start to finish.

The food was outstanding – every dish was perfect in both taste and presentation. The service was impeccable, attentive, and professional, yet warm and welcoming at the same time. The interior is elegant and stylish, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special celebration.

A special thank you to the owner – incredibly sincere, friendly, and genuinely caring. You can truly feel the passion and dedication behind this place.

We had a such a good experience at rentinto. We had the hot stone steak which was absolutely delicious, but the surprise was the prawns, wowowow best prawns I’ve ever had and will probably ever have 😅

Staff are so kinda and attentive!

Will be back the next time we visit in September!
