So pleased we found this place, our week away would not have been the same without Swallows! A really lovely, friendly, family-run bar, hidden away among the apartments. There are so many reasons to make sure you hunt down their location, via the signs and the small walkways surrounding them. Great food, a welcoming atmosphere, a good selection of cocktails, the fabulous service, an epic track-list, and Vasco (as pictured), to name a but a few! We went back several times for lunch and for drinks in the evenings, and to agree with a previous reviewer, it was a highlight of our holiday as well! Thank you so much, we had such a great time hanging out with you (and drinking all the rum)! We hope to see you again soon! 🍹😊

What an awesome place, found this little bar tucked away and decided to give it a go and i cannot recommend enough. they have a pool table, table football table. Food is amazing and the owners are great too always willing to have a chat and then there is Vasco the explorer (The dog) who is also awesome.

We drove an hour from our hotel. And what can I say: it was worth it. The pub has rightly received its award in 2025.
The pub offers honest Madeiric cuisine at fair prices.
