I'm glad we went early. The restaurant filled up (Sunday). It's in a prime location. A beautiful place on the edge of Tavira. Nestled between the beaches of Barril and Terra Estreita. As you might expect prices are higher here but a free drink was included. Service helpful, attentive and pleasant. Food delightful. The superb Terra Estreita beach a pleasant boat trip away. Ticket booth 5 minutes walk or so from this restaurant. 5€ return for the two of us. We locked the bikes up and enjoyed in full, the gorgeous aquamarine waters of this island beach.

This was the first time we came to the restaurant. We were welcomed by the owner Fabio and he gave us a rundown on all the dishes they had for the day. We decided to sit down for lunch. Fabio sent over 4 white port wines for us. We ordered an octopus salad which was very tasty. After that we ordered a squid dish and the codfish dish. Wow it was one of the best I’ve had. The service was amazing!! Tiago our server was great! He was always making sure that we had everything just right. If you are in the area this place is a must go to.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Cultura Mediterrânica! The seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, surpassing all our expectations. Moreover, the customer service was exceptional; everyone was incredibly kind and attentive, especially towards our child. We are immensely thankful for this delightful Portuguese culinary experience!

The food here was delicious and a great location. Received suggestions for ordering and they were perfect. Calamari Algarvia and skewered octopus and prawns. The Calamari was the smaller variety and really really good. Skewer was also great, best Octopus we have had in Portugal so far. What a great little village too!
