DON GULL

Nice restaurant in Lagos with an excellent kitchen and a very good service. Every course was very delicious and we enjoyed one of the best service in town. The restaurant was highly frequented, so an reservation is recommended, at least after 8 pm. No long waiting time for the courses due to large team in the kitchen and the service. We will certainly come back!

Don Gull in Lagos is a fantastic fusion restaurant. We enjoyed a warm, inviting ambiance and attentive service at the bar. The Francesinha, a Portuguese dish, was delicious. Served with a side of fries for dipping! Flavors and textures were perfectly balanced, leaving us wanting more. Don Gull offers a unique dining experience with innovative cuisine and great service, making it a must-visit in Lagos.

Absolutely delightful! Recommended by Perplexity. Food is incredible. We had the grilled octopus and wagyu beef carpaccio as starters. And suckling pig confit and seafood tortellini as main. Fantastic dishes. Cocktail and dessert are wonderful and not to be missed. Highly recommended! Best place in Lagos to escape the crowds and long lines in the old town.

Such a great restaurant, we went back to back nights. As we were walking towards the city center I noticed this neat place. I immediately looked it up and it had good reviews so we checked it out. The first night we didn’t have a reservation so we had to sit outside, it was a little windy but fine. The second night we made a reservation and got to eat inside which was very very nice/trendy. Food:
Night 1 we ordered the Madame of the North appetizer (delicious and big portion), then we ordered the Sea Rice entree- which was also full of flavor. Our meal was wrapped up with a dessert of a cheesecake like tart and cotton candy ice cream- unique, and a great way to end the meal.
Night 2 we ordered two entrees. The tuna loin (I enjoyed the portion but wish it had a little more flavor) but the winner of the night was the tomato tortellini which was rich and creamy. Dessert was their moist chocolate cake with a layer of Carmel on top.
The food was consistent and good just like the service.
It didn’t feel touristy at all and I would definitely tell everyone to check this out!

I passed a note to the chef that read: “has anyone requested you to step out from the kitchen and take a bow for your culinary excellence?” This was one of the best meals we have had in Portugal, and the cuisine was 5+ stars across the board. Each dish was fresh, bursting with flavor, and devoured by all 5 people in our group. Nothing disappointed from the cocktails to Sangria, and from the appetizers to the main courses. If you are visiting Lagos, Don Gull should be on the top of your list for dining experiences. Total bill for five was 165€.
