Great place to go and see a view of Alfama as well as the water. Make the trek up to Igreja and Convento do Graca to watch the sunset from the terrace. Get pastel da Nata on your way. Stop on your way down at Graca do Vinho for charcuterie and wine.

*IMPORTANT*: Beautiful view and it’s the same view from which charges 15€. Just avoid the path of picture 4 where the stairs are steep and there are a lot of hobos living in tents, they are harmless but the steps are their toilets so just imagine…

One of the highest viewpoints in the city, offering one of the most beautiful views of old Lisbon ! The castle is no longer a haughty mass, but a slumbering giant within reach, and in the distance, beyond the wide avenues, you can leisurely admire the Chiado hills and the delicate canopy of Carmo, the flowerbeds of the botanical garden, and the distant surroundings. A bar has taken over this exceptional terrace, so you can have a drink. A very popular spot for sunset. Unmissable !
