Praia das Azenhas do Mar is one of the most breathtaking beaches I’ve ever visited and truly feels like something out of a postcard. The dramatic cliffs, the whitewashed houses cascading down toward the ocean, and the powerful Atlantic waves create a view that is absolutely unforgettable. The natural seawater pool carved into the rocks is a unique highlight, offering a refreshing and scenic place to swim while listening to the sound of the waves crashing nearby.
The beach itself is small but incredibly charming, clean, and well maintained, making it perfect for a relaxed visit and stunning photos. Watching the sunset here is a magical experience, as the sky changes colors over the ocean and the village lights slowly come on. There are also nearby restaurants where you can enjoy fresh seafood with an unbeatable view. Praia das Azenhas do Mar is a must-see destination that perfectly combines natural beauty, tranquility, and authentic coastal charm. I fully recommend this place.

Praia das Azenhas do Mar is absolutely stunning! The view of the ocean crashing against the cliffs is breathtaking, and it’s the perfect spot to relax, take in the scenery, and breathe the fresh ocean air. The little village perched on the cliffs makes the view even more magical.

A must see village and beach (with tidal pool for swimming). The village and its white house’s on the hill side are spectacular. From the other side the steps up look line hard work.
The day we visited the beach the beach was closed (red flagged) due to the heavy surf.
